Handbells Choir
/We are currently recruiting new ringers.
The Madison Presbyterian Church Handbell Choir is open to adults and high school students who can read music.
No prior handbell experience is required.
We rehearse during the school year and ring approximately once a month for the Sunday 11 am worship service.
We ring five octaves of Malmark bells and chimes.
Rehearsals: Sundays, 4:00 - 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

David Boardman holds a BMus Ed from Florida State University, has directed handbell choirs since 1999, and is an active percussionist, teacher and conductor.
He has performed with the Savannah and Macon symphony orchestras, and at music festivals in Europe and Asia.
As musical director, David’s percussion quintet appeared at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention, Atlanta Olympics, World’s Fair, on commercial and public television, and in the linen department of a major Atlanta department store.
He was Health Rhythms coordinator at Camp Twin Lakes, which offers year-round recreational, therapeutic, and educational programs for children facing serious illnesses and other physical, emotional and life challenges.
In addition to directing Madison Presbyterian’s handbell choir, David directs handbells at Covenant Presbyterian (Athens) and is the director of Bells of Northeast Georgia, an advanced concert handbell choir. He rang as a member of the Atlanta Concert Ringers.
