Madison Presbyterian Church Children’s Ministry
WHAT ARE SUNDAYS LIKE FOR CHILDREN?
Childcare is available for infants through preschool-aged during Sunday worship. The nursery is located in the first floor of the Education Building.
We welcome all children to join our worship, embracing their wiggles and giggles regardless of age.
Children's worship materials and activities are available in the hallway of the Education Building just within the doors next to the Sanctuary.
A special Children’s Church message is part of every service, and programming in the Education Building follows the Children’s Church message during the school year.
We encourage families to celebrate communion together the first Sunday of each month.

WHAT CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE DURING THE WEEK?
WONDER-FULL WEDNESDAYS
We are excited to offer Growing in God’s Love, a Wednesday night faith formation program for children PreK–5th grade. This ministry is rooted in Scripture and shaped by creativity, movement, music, and shared community.
Wednesdays | 5:30–7:00 PM
February 4 – April 29, 2026
Dinner provided
Each night follows a consistent, welcoming rhythm:
Shared meal and fellowship
Bible story and wonder
Creative stations (crafts, games, music)
Closing prayer and blessing
Important: This program is intentionally designed as a shared ministry between families and the church. It is not a drop-off program. Each family is expected to volunteer one Wednesday per month. All lessons, crafts, and activities are fully prepared—no teaching experience is required.
You can find weekly updates and announcements on our Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as in the Weekly Word.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY STAFF
Jordan Newman
Director of Children’s Ministries
Hi everyone! I’m Jordan Newman, and I’m so excited to step into the role of Director of Children’s Ministries here at MPC! Some of you might already know me from the preschool—I’ve been the Lead Teacher in the two-year-old classroom and it’s been such a joy to be part of this community.
I am so privileged to support our kids in their faith journeys and help create fun, meaningful experiences for them. I particularly enjoy working on the Christmas pageant, heading up JAM on Wednesdays during the school year, and leading Children’s Church each Sunday.
I’ve lived in Morgan County since 2007, I have an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from GMC, and I’m also a proud mom to two awesome kids—Noah and Grace.
