David grew up in the Upstate of South Carolina and has called Georgia home since 2006. He did his undergraduate work at Presbyterian College before completing graduate degrees at the University of South Carolina and Columbia Theological Seminary. He began his ministry at Madison Presbyterian Church in August of 2010. He was installed as Associate Pastor in June of 2011 and became our Pastor in October of 2013.

David has a passion for preaching that engages and challenges all people to live faithful, Christ-centered lives in the midst of an ever-changing world. His belief in mission work that builds relationships and allows for mutual learning and service has taken him to Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, Hungary, and Kenya. David believes that the church is called and equipped by God to be a place of transformation, both personal and communal. At Madison Presbyterian Church, he feels blessed to work alongside a gifted staff, faithful leadership, and a committed congregation who embody their faith in the ways that they live and serve.

In his free time, David enjoys playing golf, hunting, traveling, watching college football (especially Clemson), reading history, and spending quality time with his friends and his dog, Sam.
